Phew! If I were to say we had a busy weekend it would be an understatement! Go, Go, Go! was our theme.
Friday night we went to Hubcap's cousins graduation. Isn't my Little Mister the CUTEST little cowboy you have ever seen??!!?
Saturday morning Hubcap had to work so the kiddos and I went to the Farmers Market and the park.
And then Saturday night we headed to the rodeo. My rodeo babies are too, too adorable! Geez. Mister had a great time pretending he was a horse and flirting with the older ladies. And I ran into a friend I hadn't seen in a long time which was great!!
Sunday morning we feasted on Raspberry pancakes made with our finds from the Farmers Market. Yum.
After church we headed to the fair. John Deere baby love.
On our way to the fair we stopped by our favorite local coffee shop and got these little beauties. It's called a Peanut Butter Dream and I am pretty sure it is delicious!!! Delicious enough to make the blog at least.. :)
At the fair we saw a lot of fun animals! Can't wait for my kiddos to have animals in the fair. I think Mister will do goats and Little Miss will do pigs. Or maybe the opposite.
They got to run around in the pens....
We rode the train!
And found this coolest vintage John Deere tractor...
Hello my love. You have the cutest ears ever.
Mister got to shake hands with a real monkey. Hopefully our house does not turn into the Hot Zone soon...
The rest of the family went to the races... Little Miss made it through the first half hour?!?! maybe. Then we ran out of food. So her and I ventured out on our own and it was a blast!! We got to go in all the exhibits that the men folk might not enjoy as much as the womenfolk and we went to an awesome concert full of good, old music.
Then we went back to the animals. This little guy thought the stroller was tasty. Watch it goater...
Walking around the fair for HOURS and HOURS makes a mama tired so we finally just plopped down next to some sleeping piggies and sat there for about 45 minutes. Little Miss played in the wood chips and would occasionally yell "Piggie Piggie Piggie" just to make sure they knew she was still there. Perfect way to end our night. Love that girl.
Monday morning Hubcap had to work again. Please go eat some rice and hug a farmer. But he did get off early and we headed to the zoo! It is our Memorial Day weekend tradition.
Someone really likes the zoo!
After the zoo we went and walked around the pond and hung out at the park.
We got home and Papa Red came over for a bbq since Gramsie is out of town.
YUM! YUM! YUM!! Veggies all set for the grill.
We ended our most fun weekend crashing into Papa Red and reading books. I think they had a good time.
It was such a great weekend and I am so thankful for all of our service men and women and their families who make such HUGE sacrifices and give up their family time so I could be with mine. I am so thankful for this life I live and for the freedom I have in this country!
What did everyone else do this weekend???
