Current Favorites...

Here is a peek at some of my current most favorite things..

1. My most favorite thing is that today I told Mister we were going to the John Deere store to look for a present and so he insisted on wearing his John Deere tool belt with his John Deere tools and John Deere hat. Love that kid. He is showing me his teeth in this picture. What a goob. 

 

2. Ok, seriously Target?!?! Really?!!?  You had to have these bowls and cups today for a ridiculously low amount of money?? These bowls and cups scream "SUMMER" to me. And they include my favorite color, "bright flame". Only me, my poor mother and my bridesmaids from my wedding know this true fact..its not coral but bright flame. Thank you lovely friends for wearing bright flame on my wedding day. I love you all.

3. So MOST of the time we eat really healthy. Today not so much. At Wal Mart I saw these two items and couldnt resist. Serious cheesy goodness. Oh My Stars. Pretty sure when God made cows he made this cheese. And so when in the Bible it says He saw all that he had made and it was good, he was actually talking about this cheese. And then he probably ate some. It's just that good. 

4. This lotion smells so yummy!! And it is made by Burt's Bee's. I bought Orange Petalooza which is  Blood Orange Flower scent, and I love it! These are also my two very favorite bracelets at this moment. Seriously love me some Forever 21. Even though I am forever 24... 

5. Ok, sorry for the blurry pic, it just wasnt happening. My most FAVORITE husband in the whole wide world suprised me with a new charm for my favorite necklace. He bought me the I hold your heart in mine charm, and I just love it. Only he and I know why he bought it, and I just love that. My hubcap is my most favorite in the world... what a wonderful man to put up with crazy, silly me. 

6. Yes one of my most favorite things in the world is McCormick Grill Mates marinades. A little packet of wonder I tell you!! I have pork chops marinating in their Mesquite Marinade right now and I cannot wait for dinner later! 

7. My favorite little girl got her 1st John Deere shirt today!! 

8. My favorite little people in the world. Oh how I love these little ones with my whole entire heart! Being a mama is hard, hard work and such a huge responsibility, not to be taken lightly and the older these two get and grow into the little people they are becoming the more and more I am realizing this! But more than anything else it is a privilege to get to raise such wonderful, beautiful silly little humans and I am so thankful that God entrusted me and Hubcap with them! Even when it's hard I just remember what a gift he has given me. My babies remind me of Jabez who in the Bible prayed that God would bless him indeed. I look at my little ones and know that God has blessed me, indeed!! 

9. So this is one of my favorite ways to eat veggies. You chop them up, put them on a cookie sheet, add whole garlic cloves, drizzle them with olive oil  and bake them for 45 minutes at 350. Then you can sprinkle them with parmesan cheese. So good. In this picture I have carrots, purple onions, zucchini,red potatoes and asparagus. Delicious and colorful. Yum.

10. And my last favorite thing is the whole world is the little old man at Wal Mart today with the yellow shoes. I do not have a picture of said man because that would be incredibly creepy.... I am thankful for this little old man and his kindness. He could tell that Mister was about to have a breakdown in the spice aisle and that I was trying my best to distract him from having such a meltdown and he swooped in and saved the day. He came riding up on his scooter cart, honking his little horn and talking all about Mister's tool belt and hat and boots and let him honk his horn. And when he rode away he patted my arm and smiled and I fell in love right then in there...ok maybe not but really people sometimes Nice Counts and today it really counted. He didnt judge me, or my kids he just showed us kindness. And so now he's on my favorite list. Woo!

Small Style

We have been loving the hot weather at our house, and I have been especially loving my baby girl in Sun Rompers!! Oh my stars, there is just something about chubby little legs that get me E.V.E.R.Y. time! Here she is in just some of her little rompers...

I got this little gingham romper at Target! It was so cheap and it is just too cute!!! 

This romper is to die for! I ordered it off etsy from this shop Too Chute. I fell in love with it and then when I put it on Little Miss, I fell in love all over again. So adorable! 

Look at the back!! The ruffles slay me... 

Here is my little hippy dancing at the park. This little sun suit is from Target as well.... 

Can't forget about my little man. I got this shirt at Kohls..you can't see it but it has a tractor on it, very much my Little Mister. 

And here we are on our first creek walk of the season. The swim shorts and shirt our from Target and his hat from the John Deere dealership in our town. My little farmer man...

Weekend Recap and Fun Craft

We had a very fun, hard worked weekend!! 

We wore silly hats...

Took pictures with Mommy...

Ate crackers..

Caught frogs...

Really big frogs...

Helped daddy put in flower beds..

Talked on our phones..

And acted silly in our new pajamas!! 

Hubcap and I worked in the yards almost all Saturday and Sunday! Here is my potting bench all ready for Spring! Don't you love the chalkboard pots?!?! 

All my pansies,marigolds and violas...my holly hocks will bloom soon hopefully! 

I can't wait for my hydrangea's to bloom!! I have three in my front bed!!

My back porch! This weekend we put in a garden bed and bark and got our side yard ready for a brick patio! 

Here it is! Kind of small, but it's beautiful! 

The freesia smells amazing!! 

I am going to go out on a limb and say the back yard is looking pretty good considering when Hubcap bought the house it was nothing but dirt!!! This week I am working on some projects for the Kid's Play Area and this next weekend we will put it all together. Then this summer hopefully we will get to lay our brick patio in the side yard! 

Here we are working hard!! 

Friday it rained so the kiddo's and I made an art project. 

Mister and I made this little black rain cloud.

And Little Miss and I made this sunshine and rainbow. It was perfect because all day we saw black rain clouds and then the day ended with sunshine and two full double rainbows!!! 

For the black rain cloud we used fishing line and blue and black construction paper and for the sunshine we used streamers and yellow paper! And googly eyes for both!

Just Because..

Just because it has been raining nonstop for days now and I keep finding you sneaking outside...

we decided to treat you like a king for the night. 

Just because maybe sometimes its a little rough to be two, and learn to make wise choices, and put your toys where they belong and use manners and show self control...

I made your favorite meal of "enchilalas" and beans....

Just because you are my favorite little boy in the whole wide world who has hilarious conversations with worms, plays with his sister and shares without being asked,  who says, "wuv you too mommy" even before I say "I love you" first  and does a mean squat and jumping jack....

We added guacamole to the meal. 

Just because I love you. 

Alphabet bunting....

Happy Wednesday! The rainy weather around here has forced me to stay inside and organize...something I have been avoiding when the sun has been out. So with the rain Spring Cleaning has struck! Yesterday I finally got around to organizing one half of my kitchen cabinets. Hubcap got done finishing them a couple of weeks ago for Little Miss' birthday party, and yesterday I turned the top half into my craft cupboards. I got all of mine and the kids stuff organized! Today I am organizing all their toys and clothes and then hopefully tomorrow the sun will be out  and we can go back outside! 

Here is a picture of the finished cupboards. I love them!!! 

Last night I wanted to do something crafty after cleaning all day, so I made this cutest burlap ABC bunting banner for the kids learning area! 

All I used was burlap, some coral and turquoise scrapbook paper and some gold glitter letters. Then I just cut and hot glued! Easy! I had some great ideas about felt and huge cardboard sparkley letters , but when I got to Michaels they didnt have what I was looking for. But when you drive into town, sometimes in Kindergarten terms you Get What You Get And You Dont Throw A Fit. 

 I am going to add a number line above it with a scalloped bunting I think and then maybe add some pom pom ribbon to the top to cover up the imperfections. 

All right I am off to guzzle some coffee to get my day going! My lovelies have been awake since 5:30ish... I guess they knew I had alot to do today.

Easter 2012

We had a very fun, very full Easter this year! I love celebrating holidays with my little family, love to see the kiddos experience different days/seasons etc... 

Here is Little Miss' basket. She also got the cutest Farmers Market kit. It has a bag, card, book, recipes and a game! It is so cute!! 

Mister got his first fishing pole! He cannot wait to go fishing with it! 

Here are my sweetest Easter babies all ready for church! Mister was especially handsome! 

I made Little Miss' headband to match his outfit! So much fun! 

After church service there is always a potluck and Easter egg hunt. Here Mister is..he was pretty good at finding eggs. 

Little Miss had a great time too! 

Here is the whole family... very tired kiddos. 

When we got home the babies took naps and then we did another egg hunt at home. I put one rabbit fruit snack in each, it was so funny to watch Mister run around and eat them!! 

Here is our Easter table setting! Papa Red and Gramsie game over for Easter dinner!

Here is the carrot garland I whipped up. I had great plans about bunny garland and cute bunny tails for the chairs, but that did not happen. Maybe next year. 

My carrot crescent rolls. Didnt turn out exactly like I thought, but they were still fun and Mister LOVED them! We also had grilled lemon chicken, grilled red potatoes and grilled asparagus. 

Here is Mister and Gramsie with the bunny cake she made. Mister got to eat the bow tie, he was excited about that fact. Little Miss was just delighted to get to eat cake in general, she loves her food!
