Our Christmas photos

Last week we had our Christmas card photos done....I honestly couldn't be any happier with them if I tried. My friend Samantha has been taking our pictures for a couple of years now and she is amazing! I love that we have all of these photos to document  and capture our lives at the moment. 

oh my stars, LOVE. Love that she was showing me her baby and love that Mister was patting her tummy, not mine! So my cutest kids. 

Be still my beating heart he is my handsome little man! My first born...just love him. Little Miss was being a stinker and would not smile, but in a way I am kind of grateful since she always steals the show! Mister is my kind, loving, not as outgoing kid, but he just loved Samantha and was so great! Love the dimples in his hands, his little crossed fingers, that genuine smile. 

My last pregnancy. Bittersweet.

So there you have it. My whole world summed up in these photos. Love them all dearly and am so, so blessed!

Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal Smoothie

Good morning friends! We have been up since 4:30 at our house...(rise and shine and give God the glory, glory!) We're going to try to soak up the last of the sunshine before a storm hits for the next couple of days...

I don't know about you but I really honestly want my kids to eat healthy, but sometimes it gets hard trying to find new, fun things that they will actually eat! My kids aren't picky at all,which is nice, but I sometimes get in a rut when it comes to snacks. I have been pinning some snacks on Pinterest, but a lot of times when I actually check them out I know it would not go over that well. So using some ideas I found I whipped up this peanut butter banana oatmeal smoothie for the kiddos...and they loved it! So here it is..

Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal Smoothie

1. First, cook your oatmeal. I cooked a 1/2 cup of oatmeal in 1 cup of milk until it was nice and creamy. 

2. I added a few ice cubes to the oatmeal to cool it off a little before I added it to the cold blender. 

3. In my blended I added one banana, 1/2 cup of walnuts and 2 tblsp of peanut butter. Then I added my cooked oatmeal and blended until it was smooth.

4. I added two cups of ice and blended until it was smooth again, then poured into cups.

It made 4 cups of smoothie. Next time I will probably half the recipe, but now my kids will already have their afternoon snack ready!

Thanksgiving 2012

Oh Happy Weekend..

I just love weekends, especially lazy ones. We had exactly that these past few days and it was perfect! I finally finished my fall table, minus the white tablecloth. Please ignore the paint stains on our well loved/used table...I am  Loving the colors..and those votives?? $1.59 at Target!! I painted some sticks from the park gold and some mini pumpkins that were on clearance for 25 cents gold and white.  

We had a late family breakfast on Saturday morning... haha late for us is 8:00! Oh sweet children... 

We also got some a new bassinet for baby girl and I got a little spot set up in our room for feedings and sleeping for her! 

The kiddos and I made their Thanksgiving shirts... 

A sweet little lady from our church made Baby this beautiful quilt! It is absolutely perfect! I wish you could see the detail..so thoughtful and kind.

This afternoon we decided we needed to get out of the house! It has been raining, raining, raining and the kiddos, mainly Mister really needed to get out and run. So we went hiking, it was such a beautiful fall day! 

Please excuse my makeup free, pregnant face. But I hauled my almost third trimester  pregnant tushie up that log and I needed Hubs to document it!! 

So here we are at the end of a perfect weekend about to start Thanksgiving week. I hope everyone had lovely weekends and Happy Monday!
