Getting ready for baby...

Here are some projects I have been working on for our sweetest new baby... can't believe we are a little over a month away!!

headbands... some for sisters some just for baby.. (elastic and fabric flowers)

an Its A Girl wreath for the front door...

matching sister aprons... (made out of ribbon and an old flowey shirt of mine)

lace buntings for their kitchen area...
(made from old curtains)

floral crown for her newborn pictures..
(floral wire and some fake flowers on clearance at Michael's)

silhouette of my Little Miss for their play nook
(using scrap book paper I had)

more headbands...

and a ribbon mobile for the girl's reading area...
(embroidery hoop and clearance ribbon from Michael's)

Still alot to be done before she get's here but it was nice to scratch alot off my list! It was also nice to be able to find idea's I really loved online and make them myself for a fraction of the cost. A little bit of hot glue and creativity can come a long way!

Valentines day and our winter boycott

So currently I am on a boycott winter kick and I am pretending it's not freezing cold outside, or that everything around me is brown and dead. The kiddos and I have been filling our days with Valentines Day and spring crafts and living in our non winter bliss.
Today I made these little Valentine cards that we will send to friends and family...my little wild things. They are both OBSESSED with this book and so I thought this was fun!

I also thought I would share this fun card idea..

I made this for Hubcap 3 years ago and he really loved it! There are a lot of versions of the candy card...this was mine.

Working on all our crafts... Little Miss is a serious painter. Don't mess with her.

Ahhh, hallway bliss.

See?? Even my roses think it's spring.

Cutest footprint art. And lovely $1.50 paint yourself birdhouses...for elf birds??? Not really sure. It's the thought I guess.
So anyways, here's to spring!!

Disneyland

So I've been a slacker blogger and never posted anything about Christmas or New Years...they were great! But the highlight of this season was going to Disneyland! Mister was so excited and it was so much fun to get to experience it with him!!

Excited kiddos entering the park!

Waiting in line for the Jungle Cruise, Mister's first ride!

Little Miss and Papa Red...she is a little unsure about what is going on..

Can you tell someone is a little ticked that she and Mama got left out of Pirates of the Caribbean?

Meeting Tigger...Little Miss was a little unsure unless Mama was there, Mister loved it!

Eyore!

Winnie the Pooh was a different story, Little Miss had no problem running up and hugging the silly old bear!

And Winnie the Pooh was quite fond of her as well....

on the train....

                                                                       It's a Small World....

Love her face in this one...waiting in line to meet Mickey Mouse and this little girl loved watching a gopher pop out of his garden.... also notice that my dad walked around with her skirt over his hat like that all day...haha.

Mickey Mouse!

Mister's favorite thing was meeting Mickey! Cutest kid!

While I was packing for our trip Mister brought me in a little tag and this piece of trash. The tag was his "Ticket" to Disneyland and the piece of trash was to throw away at Mickey's house. So I put it in his pocket of the jeans he would wear that day and we threw it away in Mickey's trash can. Oh I love that boy!

Watching the parade!

Magic!!

Papa Red promised Mister Mickey Mouse ears so while the kids and the men rode on the cars we went and got him a pair with his name and surprised him when he got off the ride!

The castle at night...we made it to Disneyland on the second to the last day of their Christmas decor and when they lit up the castle at night it snowed on Main Street... really, really cool....

On our long way home.... you know you've had a good vacation when you have Mickey Mouse ears on your head and chocolate on your face. Such a great trip!  My only advice for going to Disneyland all day at 7 months pregnant with a three year old and 21 month old is to take a lot of adults!  Ha! Thanks mom and dad for taking us to Disneyland!!
