1. A good face scrub
All three pregnancies my skin has acted out differently. But with all three pregnancies my skin has acted out. I love this Bur'ts Bees face scrub because its super gentle and is great for all skin types.
2. Organizers
I really love an organized diaper bag. I have never bought a real diaper bag because I thought they were either way too ugly or way too overpriced. I have always bought a super cute bag in a style I like and then bought cute little makeup bags or organizers to organizer all those little essentials (diapers, wipes, hair ties, snacks, extra clothes, etc.) in. It's always so nice in a stressful moment to just have to reach for a little bag instead of dig through my big bag to find what I need. I found this little cosmetics bag and loved the colors but Forever 21 has a great selection for a little amount of money which I love.
3. Scarves
Let's be honest. Maternity clothes are usually boring or ugly or overpriced. I tend to stick with the boring and then try to spice it up. That way you don't have to pay as much money because you can easily re wear a plain tee and accessorize a different way. I love scarves this time around. I bought the above scarf from Target and it is a fun way dress up my plain Jane maternity tops.
4. Slippers
and
Nursing Gowns

These two things are absolute essentials for the hospital for me. The gown they give you to wear for delivery is very nice of them but is so uncomfortable and let's be honest after giving birth..kind of gross. A good nursing gown is so nice and comfortable and also modest enough so that your visitors aren't visiting all of you if you catch my drift. Also slippers are nice for walking around in for obvious reasons...especially for all other germaphobes like me. ;) Both these essentials came from Target as well.
5. Moby Wrap
Ok so I am not an expert on baby wearing at all, so I'm not going to act like I am. But I pretty much in love with my Moby wrap. I am pretty sure the only way I was able to go out in public alone with two babies was because of my Moby. It is so nice to be able to have your hands free, but your baby close. I will say this, I did not use a Moby with Mister and he was a terrible sleeper and not a snuggler. Little Miss was a fantastic sleeper and is still a snuggler...could it be because she was so close all the time?! Not sure, but I LOVE my Moby!!!
6. Cleansing Towelettes
After giving birth your alot a little gross. Labor or c-section, doesn't matter it's a lot of work! Towelettes are really nice to clean off and feel fresh, especially if you can't get up and shower for awhile. I love these towelettes by Neutrogena because they don't have an overwhelming smell and don't leave you feeling sticky...just clean.
7. Baby Books
I love reading. Love, love reading. And so do my babies. I don't have time to read a lot for myself these days, and honestly most of my reading is books for 5 and under. So if I am going to have to read the same book over and over and over again, it better be good. I love board books because they can entertain a newborn all the way up to a 3-4 year old. This Little Miss Austin Pride and Prejudice book is probably the cutest thing I have ever seen/read. I highly recommend it to anyone with a little lady in their life.
8. Baby Basic Clothing
I love Baby Gap's First Favorite Collection. The collection is simple, clean and well made. It is ever changing but for the most part they keep it gender neutral which is nice because you can reuse the pieces for all of your babies regardless if you have a boy(s) or girl(s). It is a collection worth spending your money on.
9. Freezer Meals
I don't have a picture for this but I do recommend trying to get at least a few meals in your freezer for after your baby is born. It takes some prep and effort but is so worth it when you are exhausted and tired and hungry. Look up freezer meals on Pinterest, you'll be surprised at all of the options you can find. I did this for Little Miss and it was so nice to have this option on busy days. I plan on doing even more for Baby #3 just because it was so nice.
So there are my favorite's in a nutshell. What are some of your's?

this is really good list--I definitely agree with the Moby. and my next baby, I want one of those cute gowns & slippers in the hospital!
